...And quite frankly, I'm glad that it hasn't...
That's because this issue needs to be discussed. Every generation of God's elect people needs to deal with the issues that confront them in their own age. We need to learn the historic debates that have taken place in Christendom. The old adage proves to be correct, "those who fail to learn from the past are destined to repeat it." [Indeed this is one reason why we should read Church History; to know that one is not alone in these battles, but is within a long line of godly men who contended for the faith on certain issues as well (Jude 3)]. So, it is imperative for us to glean upon Church History as an advisor and for help...
...That being said, I must mention that the final Authority of the matter, no matter what Church History shows us, is the Holy Scriptures. The Scriptures are sufficient for "every good work" (including this issue; 2 Tim. 3:16-17). No amount of support from tradition or Church History can be the final, infallible, authoritative rule for faith and practice. Nothing except God's breathed-out Word; they are the only reliable and trustworthy source of Authority to the Christian in any matter for all-time (Sola Scriptura). If one has any position on any matter, it must be derived from the Scriptures. If not, one's assertions, statements or position will lack God's mind, truth, and will on the matter and therefore cease to carry any weight in the matter (1 Cor. 2:14-16; John 17:17). One must demonstrate with careful exegesis and faithful, consistent exposition of the Scriptures that one's position is indeed the biblical one. Our theology must derive from the Holy Scriptures for it to not only carry any weight, but also to know what God has to say about it. Ad Fontes! (To the Sources!)
That being said, here is an excellent, concise article of an overview of Molinism...
...And here is an excellent post from Dr. James N. Anderson on the issue as well...
...Now below are some helpful videos discussing the matter that I came across this past week from Dr. James White...
(FYI, for video #2 (1/16/2014 Secularist Supremacy and Molinism on Today's Dividing Line), start at around the 34:00 minute mark to hear Dr. White's critique of Dr. William Lane Craig concerning some of his assertions)
